Summerfield Avenue is a full refurbishment and extensions to a mid terrace Victorian house. The project explores how to control, and maximise light in a dark house with a new basement. The use of lightwells bridges, and internal courtyards all provide light depth and views through all levels. A new Walnut and Oak stair wraps around the internal lightwell and creates places to sit, clothes storage and walk.
